Just pulling your leg, it has been a truly hectic week and I must say a lot got done and a lot more can and will be done. Below are the issues the RA have raised and the update on each and everyone of them.
1. Improving security and safety standards in the community
- a new security firm will take over from the current by the 18th August 2007 and a meeting is scheduled to take place with the management and the said new security firm to better understand the SOPP of the security personnel and at the same time for the RA to provide relevant feedback and to assist the security personnel understand and to be able to serve the residents in TMP better.
- request for daily police patrol which has since commenced within TMP compound and also surrounding neighbourhood. (Started on the 10th August 2007)
- posting of security personnel on the east and west side of the perimeter wall fence to tighten observation and deter intruders (this has been executed quite a while back)
2. Potholes
- since the "Mesra Rakyat Forum" attended by the TMP RA, many of the potholes have been filled and the maintenance of the road leading into TMP has improved. Kudos to YB Dr.Kow for providing such exemplary execution in resolving residents woes in a efficient manner.
3. Water Traps
- many of the water traps which can be found in the park area which poses as breeding grounds for mosquitos have been rectified and holes of these water traps closed with proper lids to avoid the danger of children falling into it.
4. Community Notice Board
- the community notice board was delivered and placed at the gazebo area on the 8th August 2007 by Mr.Lee.
5. Phase 3 Perimeter Fencing
- Mr.Lee mentioned that the said perimeter fencing will be up by the 30th September 2007. Residents are advised to lodge a complaint if you have already moved in. This will pressure the management to quickly erect the said fencing soonest possible.
There are a lot more issues the RA have tabled and currently working very hard to get the relevant authorities to resolve but some of these issues will take time and patience is required.
i hope the management can set a sign at the park so that the pet cant step into the park especially at the playground!!! i found some resident let their pet play at the playground even on the slide!!!! i found that not hygenic...
ReplyDeleteI feel for your concern but as a community we have to look at what can be done for the sake of the majority as in any community the majority will rule. Putting a sign at the park forbidding pets totally from the park area, will not bode too well with the residents as it will affect many residents with pets. If you were to take a stroll from TMP 2A to TMP 8C you will be suprised to find that 1 out every 4 houses will have a pet/s.
ReplyDeleteI believe a more appropriate approach is to encourage all pet owners in the community to practice scooping the poop and not soil the common areas.
Overall the pets does more good for the community than harm provided their owners looks after them. The RA will look into erecting a signage to encourage "scooping". It will be too drastic and probably draconian to not allow pets at all into the park as the pets are also companions to many children in their households and providing alerts if there are strangers or intruders in the neighbourhood.
