This was the first time ever that the Dr.Dog examination and selection program managed by Furry Friends Farm and sanctioned by Animals Asia Foundation was jointly organised with a residents association's involvement in Malaysia. The program was a huge success as there were more than 10 candidates participated along with their handlers and friends as well as some observers whom attended to find out more about the said campaign.
Such a program has already been proven to be a tremendous success in Hong Kong and China and it is with this knowledge that FFF and TMP RA is working hand in hand to bring this program to the next level in Selangor and ultimately throughout Malaysia. It is with great enthusiasm that TMP RA is very proud to be a part of such a humanitarian program and thus will continue to be involved in promoting the Dr.Dog program within Selangor by providing FFF with a venue to conduct all future Dr.Dog examination sessions.
All interested parties whom is interested to support this program please kindly contact Ms.Sabrina Yeap @ 016-6319018 (sabrinayeap@gmail.com) or Ms.Chris Chan @ 019-3803650 (chanchristina63@yahoo.com). Residents association from around the area are also encouraged to start such an initiative as the benefit derived from enabling volunteers from various communities to partake in this program will create the necessary resources and education to all pet owners of the benefits of the Dr.Dog program and its objectives.
Future undertaking will also involve the organizing of World Animals Day scheduled on the 4th October 2008 and it will be held in TMP Central Park. Although it is still some time away, TMP RA is proud to show its committment to support such a great program for the community in TMP (with 50+ owners with pets) and at the same time assist FFF (Furry Friends Farm) to achieve its objective of creating animal welfare related objectives and community enriching program such as Dr.Dog.

Haha, it was an eventful event for both my mojo and myself. In fact, I have learnt alot more about my little four legged companion after the examination. You think you know your dog well enough eh...well think again. For one, I know that he loves people and children and would have thought that he would have been able to ace the examination without any problems. Unfortunately, my little four legged companion is more of a clown then a Dr. Dog. Heeehheee.... Anyway, thanks to Chris and RA for organizing such an event. Brings awareness to all about the temprement of our pets and an opportunity for all to share the joy that our pets have brought to our home with those who are less fortunate. So.....I am now training my little mojo and preparing him for the next Dr. Dog program. Hope to see more of other dogs during the next examination. As for Dr. Sugar and Chris, congratulations and do keep us updated on your very first visit to the orphanages and old folks home. I think its a wonderful program for all to participate. Looking forward to the next program.
