It has been a couple of hectic days getting things organized and prepared for the AGM which is to be held tomorrow (16th March 2008) @ 5.00 PM - Central Park TMP.......honestly it is tedious and tiring to say the least but a very important initiative for the betterment of Taman Mutiara Puchong community.
How I wish there could be more interested residents in TMP to lend a hand besides the usual number of dedicated committee members whom are willing to take a little time out from their busy schedule to be a part of the community, luckily for my sanity there are people who wants to make a difference in society and willing to be a part of developing TMP further to be better.
Everything the RA does are purely voluntary and hence no personal gains (in fact many of us in the RA plus the caring residents in this community have contributed in kind) especially evident in the Pesta Tanglung event held in 2007. Now with the RA being officially formed it is my hope to see more people more willing to come forward and assist in kind or donation as I honestly believe every residential owner in TMP is a stakeholder in this community and thus have a vital role to play in this community.
This is your home and fair to say it is unfair for a small group of people in this community to care to make a difference, we need the majority of residents here to care and to ensure that TMP have enough funds to maintain its serenity, beauty and peace in Puchong.
It is time for a wake up call for all the residents here that have atypical mentality of just living within their own four walls and to just give comments without actually putting in any real effort to be a part of this community, to you all I say please walk the talk and not just talk the talk..........we already have too many of this kind of people in this world and we do not need anymore of it in TMP. Simple example is that until today we have residents that still take their dogs out for a walk without plastic bags to scoop the poop, they just do not care for the fact that the dog poop is littered all over public places and sometime in other residents lawn......so inconsiderate and that really pisses me of in certain ways.
Another concern which I feel disgusted, yes....disgusted is the fact that we still have residents that do not practice using their proximity card to gain entry or exit. Why live in a gated and guarded community when you do not help enforce the security protocol. How are the guards going to improve their performance when there are residents giving them a hard time and treating them like they are "kadam" to open the boom gate for their convenience??? To you all I say "Please set a proper example.....do not be lazy" "Why you so like that ahhhh?"
The RA have already initiated and implemented a reduction of 50% of the purchase price of the proximity card as well as the stickers (since 2007)to make it very affordable for all house owners especially those that have more than 3 cars per household. If you can afford to have 3 cars I am sure the cost of the proximity card is trivial to own.....and if you have lost the card it is also affordable to replace.
Remember my fellow residents.....the boom gate and security is for a reason.....yesss asoneh it is to ensure we have proper and adequate security to prevent any criminal activities in TMP by making it very difficult for would be law breakers to gain entry. How are we going to achieve this if we do not uphold the said security protocol......is it just because nothing major has happen yet??? Let me remind everyone that prevention is a better alternative than a cure (Do not wait for something bad to happen to know that you have made a mistake). Too late already....if you come to that stage....regret is all you can do/feel then.
I know I cannot change other people's mentality or attitude but what does it take for people to realize that we live in a community style housing development in TMP and that everyone in TMP has a role to play.
Is it so difficult to want a better living environment, to be example setters than law breakers, to care rather than not, to invest in your own living environment........to be continued (have to do the costing now.....)
7 May 2008 is the anniversary of my family moving into TMP for cukup cukup 1 year and since when we moved into TMP we have gone through a lot with TMP RA, 1st we had our '1st' banjir, 2nd we had our dumping site issue, then we had our real big 'dead fish' event, then we had our Indo village arguments, termites problems, perimeter walls 'fights', then we had portholes, security matters, street lights, boom gate, another banjir and another banjir, changed of road name etc etc which we can't really remember as such a lot had happened in TMP but for sure, TMP RA had really helped us a lot especially for phase 3 residents. Do RA members really care for what they will be getting in return? 'Yes'- the betterment of TMP but not profit or money. They sincerely worked for this objective and this is what we have seen so far. Besides thier busy daily works and family gatherings, they have to work for TMP but they earn nothing! Even the housewifes who worked for RA, besides their busy schedules of cooking, washing, cleaning, guiding their children's homeworks, senting them to schools and tuitions, they also have to sort out times to work for TMP, why? they all can actually use all these times to earn extra money for working part time or even spent it in other entertainments but they insisted their commitment to TMP RA. Our family hereby would like to thank you RA for all their efforts and hard works. So, TMP residents, please think of all these and also, at the 1st place,think of what you can give to TMP rather than what can TMP give you? Then we shall meet in this coming TMP AGM!

ReplyDeleteFrom the AGM that we have this afternoon, just feel to highlight somethings here...
- make sure if i pay the money monthly, others will pay too. Else do something to their access card.Put their name and photoes ( people scare to loose face, rather than loose money ) on the notice box or entrance!!!!
- if Malton not willing to share the cost, is it possible ask them to let out one house as TMP RA's office? With this, ur commitment will be lesser.
I strongly agreed to the RA that we must enforce the use of proximity card in order for us to improve the security in TMP. I will suggest we must come to a majority agreement that for those residents who still do not want to use their proximity card should get them register should they want to enter TMP. Yeah... I know those resident will comment we do have the right to do this to them but I not try to be rude here just step back give yourself a thinker why you first place would like to buy a HOME with gated & guarded facility? It is because you want a safer home environment? So then let us as residents of TMP don't give hard time to our committed RA and security personel who try their best effort in provide security to us.
ReplyDeleteHello there. This is my 1st email in this blog. Well, it is because i only got to know about this blog yesterday afternoon when i registered myself for TMP RA's 1st AGM. I am a house owner BUT l have not gotten the privileage to move into my house as my house is in phase 3B, i.e the last phase AND l have not obtained the VP and all the nec documents (you knowlah, how leceh it can be).
ReplyDeletel have to say that l am really impressed with what has gotten placed in our community. l am calling it OUR COMMUNITY because l will soon be IN the community and l cant wait.
l will def. put in my time and effort to assist the RA team in any way l can once l move in. l can see that the RA team is a group of friendly human beings who have volunteered their time and effort to make TMP a PLACE TO LIVE IN.
Congratulations to those who got voted in as the 1st TMP RA Committee team. l was wondering whether l could elect myself as a committee once l move in.

P/S - to those who still refuse to cooperate, it is time to decide what is IMPORTANT to you as well as the others who are in the same community and PLEASE, DONT BE SO SELFISH!!! We have enough of these bunch of SELFISH people....Stay out of the TMP Community!!!!
All comments posted have very valid points and hopefully the start of creating the awareness needed in TMP to start getting the ball rolling to sweep across the negative and olden mentality of some residents that do not have a clue of what "community living concept" is all about.
ReplyDeleteThe RA definitely needs more volunteers to assist that much I can tell you as there are many plans in the pipeline but however a point to note is that with limited man power and resources there is only so much the RA can do. So it is good to know that there are residents whom are willing to volunteer to a common cause, however I urge those that are interested to email to mytmpcommittee@gmail.com to submit their particulars i.e. Name and address as well as HP contact so we can register you/them as active RA committee members. The RA is currently recruiting volunteers, as many as possible to form various sub-committees to assist in leading the many activities as well as to enable the execution of many initiatives to speed up implementation.
Voluntary work is never glamorous nor is it easy or without responsibilities, however it is the sense of satisfaction that through your small contribution you have made TMP, our home a better place for your family and your fellow residents. Do not expect to be thanked or appreciated as it should be done without expectation of reward etc.
You will meet many types of characters in our fellow residents but as long as there is a common objective in making TMP and Puchong a truly better place to call home then it is already half the battle won :)
Any residents whom are interested to be a part of the RA please we encourage you to be a part of the committee soonest possible, the more the merrier :0
Yessss! I agree absolutely to the point made about residents not practicing the use of the access card........it is riduculous is it not???
ReplyDeleteI believe most of the culprits (not to point fingers) but statistically/logically would come from the tenants whom are renting in TMP. There are a total of 88 units tenanted and for additional access cards I assume they would have to pay additional deposit to the landlord. I cannot blame them but yes I do agree something will need to be done for the betterment of all in TMP as this is a worrying trend which could eventually diminish and compromise the security of TMP thus endangering residents. The RA is currently looking at the SOP of the new security firm Dell Security, and at the same time has a committee of residents looking into enhancing the said SOP pertaining the use of access cards in this case the refusal to use the access cards to come up with appropriate measures to educate residents the role of the access card in ensuring better securityin TMP and also to mitigate factors that will contribute to the behaviour of not using them. Point to note here is that due to the faulty boom gate system of the past and for long duration of time, many residents have basically got used to the fact that having an access card is meaningless.
However since replacing the old boom gate the current system seem to be more reliable and hence the campaign to start encouraging the use of the access card will be carried out with reminders by the guards and warnings for repeat offenders if they do not heed the reminders.
Subsequently more drastic measures as suggested for the perpetrator to register to gain entry will be the last and final resort (I like this suggestion) because why have the privilege if the resident do not know that it is a privilege to have the access card.
