New Security Firm as at 1st June 2008
Just a quick post here to inform all residents that the new security firm PROGRESSIVE SECURITY has taken over. The change is necessary as after 3 months of service by the previous firm and numerous feedback by residents the RA concluded that it is yet again time for a change.
However the change this time will be looked at as an opportunity for all residents to participate in the change. We all know that we ourselves play an important role by virtue of the fact that we live in this gated and guarded compound and the security officers on duty are providing a service to ensure the safety of us all.
A campaign will start to ensure all residents practice the use of the access cards for entry and exit at all times. No more excuses please and do take note that a lack of responsibility in this area will inadvertently jeorpardise the integrity of the guards to maintain good security standards. Checklist below to enhance security standards in Taman Mutiara Puchong:
1. Immediately obtain the access cards if you do not have one, lost it or need to get more as you own more than 2 vehicles do so immediately by the end of June'08.
2. Do not shout at the guards when they do not open the gate because you do not have an access card, please help them help you maintain a good security standard for all in TMP.
3. Please ensure all cars have stickers, this is to ensure that all vehicles belonging to residents will be noticable and this is with the intention of differentiating for better security. Imagine if this is not the case. Will be very difficult to prevent illegal entry, car jackers, visitors with criminal intent etc.
4. Same apply if you do not place emphasis in using the access card to gain entry and exit:
A. firstly you are already not following the house rules,
B. secondly you are diminishing the purpose of the boomgate and the reason why you bought into a gated and guarded housing community.
C. Encouraging the guards to be your slave to open the boomgate, also again compromising their responsibility to provide security and at the same time making them less responsible as you as an owner already setting the wrong example, not caring for the security, so why should they?
D. Get all your visitors to register at the guardhouse and take note that contractors are not allowed to work on weekends just like other gated and guarded housing including condominiums, I am comparing with those property with good security and residents who follow house rules. No exceptions if you want good security.
E. Promote the use of the access cards to all your family members to ensure their safety in TMP. You lead by example, good example. Like the saying goes in bahasa "Bapa kencing berdiri, anak kencing berlari".
F. Safety for all residents is the NO.l priority and PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN A CURE.
Please help the guards and security personnel do their job better by following and helping them uphold the house rules in TMP and the Standard Operating Procecures and Protocols.
REMEMBER: CHILDREN AND FAMILY COMES FIRST
NOTE: Just read the newspaper for the many crime related stories happening all over Malaysia and even some neigbouring township not so far away. Missing children etc, rape cases and robbery, so why do you not want to follow the simple house rules for the betterment of all in this community? PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN A CURE.
NOTE: Access card barring will also commence from the 1st of July 2008 for all defaulters of 3 months from April 2008. This is to ensure fairness for all residents complying and at the same time to ensure security issue is not compromised in any way.
Reactivation will take 7 working days after the initial barring and only once all outstanding dues are paid in full.

some resident mentioned that our secretary not even paid the security deposit, is it true? Seems like the current security officer is the guys set by Malton? keeping rubbish for residents?
ReplyDeleteYour comment although published is bordering on hearsay elements, which this blog do not encourage. If you are referring to the secretary of the RA for not paying because someone said so....I strongly suggest you check with this person if he/she has paid first.
ReplyDeleteAs far as who has paid or not is confidential information and pertaining to who has not paid there are provisions in place to handle defaulters so we just let the rule of law dictate the outcome.
Hearsay or commonly coined term "GOSSIP" is not constructive and does not help anyone achieve anything except create negativity and animosity.
Lastly action speaks lounder than words so need I say more.......
Pertaining the new security firm let me enlighten the situation. If you are referring to the new security manager being sacked before then I suggest again not to base your argument on hearsay.
ReplyDeleteIf you have constructive suggestions then please come forward and approach the residents association pertaining them and we will be very happy to listen and act accordingly for the betterment of all in this community.
Judge not by what you hear but by what you see. If you believe in lies then you will never see the truth.
It really sad to know if we have resident who shout at the guard because the guard just perform their duty to keep our community safe but is the resident ignorant to use the access card.
ReplyDeleteI strongly agree that defaulter should have their access card should bar to be fair for other resident who paid promtly.
I believe all the residents in TMP is ladies and gentleman, let us cool our temper and think rasional so that all of us can live peacefully in this community.
if the current security manager is so good then he won't get set. Everyone know why he get set this is not rumours. last year, we suspect one of the house was broke in and he even make a very bad statement to acuse the owner's maid. this is not the way to carry himself as a security officer. i am not try to making noise here but we just want our taman be safe & calm. we are not trying to make trouble but to share our view. but most of the time the committee just don accept our comments. sometimes we just feel like living with another malaysia govenment. a bit sad.
ReplyDeleteI strongly suggest you to call upon the RA Security Sub Committee and discuss about your personal grouses with them and they are a 4 man panel committee consisting of volunteers whom are residents like youself.
ReplyDeleteThey have families and children of their own and that is the reason why they volunteered to be a part of this sub committee to ensure we keep improving and enhancing the security in TMP for all in it.
It is very easy to say a word or to in this blog via comments but you will realise that to even take time out like these gentlemen to make it their business on behalf of all residents is an act only responsible residents will have.
You are directly pointing at the RA for not listening and even compare us to the Malaysian government......well to that I have no commments. We are but volunteers and we abide by the very mission statement to serve the majority. Like the saying goes "You can please most people, most of the time but you cannot please all people, all of the time".
The calendar highlights all the meeting schedule and I invite you to attend to be a part of the solution. Do not just complain and point fingers but be a part of the process to make TMP better.
We are but again let me stress "Volunteers" so the more we have including you might be a good start.
Is it real? The current security officer is the guys set by Malton?
ReplyDeleteJust wanna make myself clear of it..
Let us not judge by what we hear but by what we see. As far as I am concern the developer has never acted in anyway that will prove they have the residents best interest from the very beginning. So the "alleged" sacking so hyped up by one of the commentors here is but a farce. Let us move on and use our eyes to judge and not our ears to see.
ReplyDeleteLike any other security firm TMP have appointed before they have 3 months to perform and if they do not then like TMP track record shows they will be terminated without fear or favor.
All we need now is for residents to cooperate and to be responsible by following the house rules in TMP.
some concern with current security guard. Found out that they are not checking on some visitors that drive into our taman. There are some friends come to visit me last week. They come separately in 3 cars, what the drivers need to say is "Come to fetch up somebody, will go out soon". The guard will open the door for them. Just highlight to ur guys here that, just afraid if in case those visitors are not friend of this taman. But of coz i will tell my friend not to do this next time.
ReplyDeleteBesides, anyway to improve on the gate? Firstly the gate seems like so 'week', spoilt again? Secondly, the movement is quite slow...
lastly , thanks to all who being so concern and take care of this taman. Thanks and gambateh....
I think it will take constant alertness and supervision to maintain a certain level of standard that we can be comfortable with when it comes to the security personnel adhering to the S.O.P in checking and taking proper identification etc when visitors are concerned.
ReplyDeleteWe also have to note that TMP guardhouse is erected by the developer without 1. Proper Visitor Parking and 2. Secondary entry lane like most places to separate between residents and visitors. These two shortcomings have put tremendous amount of pressure on all the security personnel manning the guardhouse to date and many residents fail to see and understand that we have been in some way shortchanged by the developer hence inherited such a complex situation to deal with. What the RA is planning with the help of some resourceful residents is to look into creating another entry lane using the kawasan lapang and if enough space can be allocated a couple of visitor parking will also be assigned to ease congestions. This will definitely alleviate the current coumpounding problems we are experiencing and to some extent contributing the weakness of the security personnel to deal with high traffic inflow and thus compromising the S.O.P at times, affecting consistency in performing their duties.
We are hoping this matter can be resolved soonest possible and that the authority will give us the permission to construct another lane and a couple of visitor parking in the kawasan lapang for the betterment of all improving traffic flow and allowing proper registration of visitors by making parking space available.
Happy to hear that the improvement of our guard house entry is in the process. Kudos to the committees again and we do understand the hassle of the committee members need to go through for the process to get approvcal from the authority since most of the time our local council is not so efficient.....
ReplyDeleteSincere thanks from me again, look forward to move into this community
It is very refreshing to know that we have residents who pays attention to the development of events in TMP and this is exactly the suppport the community needs, people who make it their business to be a part of the community. I am happy to mention here that we have many residents starting to understand the role of the RA which is to protect the interest of the majority and to always look at ways to futher improve the living environment in this beautiful taman. It is our sincere objective to ensure that the manority of households exercise more responsibilities in preserving the environment and cleanliness and at the same time be more involved in helping and sharing resources to truly make TMP a caring and close knit community for the betterment of the younger generation. We need more residents to come forward and be a part of the RA to have more numbers to be a stronger machinery to make more things happen.
