Upholding Community Peace (DMC & House Rules)
What is your reaction after browsing through the pictures above? What comes to mind immediately?
To keep it short and simple, I for one felt disgusted and apalled mainly because of the resident's disregard and absolute selfishness in indulging in extremely excessive renovations that is both ridiculous and lack common sense.
The following are reasons to justify my claims:
1. First and foremost it is law as stated in the DMC that renovation works must be in line with not changing the fasade of the said structure too extremely and must abide by MPSJ's allowable specifications.
Even if one is a second home owner as obligations to the DMC is inherited and not signing one is not an excuse for not following.
2. DMC and MPSJ's are laws everyone have to abide by and no one is above it though it is a norm for people to test the limits. Why buy into a gated and guarded community if you are going to behave in such a manner where you are not bothered about uniformity and uniqueness as a community.
Might as well buy a piece of land elsewhere and build to kingdom come.........
3. Common sense must prevail and after having a clear sight of the entire 2 rows of 2 1/2 storeys terrace units in TMP 6 one would assume that by common sense one would know the law and to abide by it as it is a gated and guarded and not free for all to enable a common sense of community spirit and protect the actual look and feel of the entire neighbourhood for that matter.
4. Disregard of your neighbours feelings and rights as such an excessive renovation works have eroded their property value in terms of reducing light and to facilitate proper ventilation flow which affects the feng shui (if you believe in it).
You can probably think of more reasons as to why such a behaviour should not be tolerated but as for me I think this is all the time I should dwell on this issue. I will let the authorities enforce the law as I do have a certain level of confidence for them to do so.
If any residents wishes to have renovation done to their units in Taman Mutiara Puchong kindly please follow the checklist below:
1. Approach and inform the management office to inform and pay the relevant deposit
2. Show documentary proof of the said renovation works (eg. MPSJ approval and building plans of the intended renovation)
3. Comform to the stipulated laws or building code
4. Seek permission from your immediate neighbours within 20 feet of your premise
5. Common sense and socially responsible mindset for the collective must be practiced.
Action will be taken against those for if not you can probably imagine what will be the consequence.....................
