LONG TIME NO POST...................

Firstly let me offer a warm HELLO to all you readers whether form the past, present and in due time future since I have been away and extremely busy with work committments until only recently.
My sincerest apologies as I do know that previously this blog is a source of information for many residents as well as the general public about the happenings in Taman Mutiara Puchong and other issue/s of interest.
It is not easy at times to find the drive and the motivation to blog since the economic downturn means we all have to strive a little harder to cope with the uncertainty and pressure of a slower economy etc etc etc.
The other reason is that I sometimes ask myself why I am doing all of this when I have fellow residents in the neigbourhood who could not care less of what is going on and also do not act in any proactive manner to sincerely put in some effort to assist in the activities of the RA in the past and present..............
Having said that and hence out of the system, the sense of social responsibility is rekindled and I am saved from following these "residents" mindset, lucky me huhhh!!!
I could go on and blog about this issue forever but I think my time is better invested in providing useful information which can alter these mindsets and indirectly passing on a message which might somehow activate their sense of social responsibility to the community.
LEAD BY EXAMPLE is the kesy and I am very happy and proud to say that we have quite many residents whom are exemplary in thier attitude and sense of responsibility to strive to improve and enhance the environment in our gated residence. You will be able to find these residents when you come and join the RA meeting and you have these people to thank for making Taman Mutiara Puchong a household name in Puchong itself and to date zero crime after 3 years (a very big achievement) especially in the Selangor state.
A point I would like to share with all of TMP's residents is that the cases reported to date though unexpected to some but not to me is that problems in TMP usually stems from the "residents" themselves................a classic case is from defaulters whom do not want to pay their monthly service fee for reason only known to them but my educated guess is that these people are either crazy or criminals as they like to THINK they are above the law and totally lacking in sense of ownership of the community they are living in. Imagine my friends and readers is RM 100 a month a high price? It is a obvious and to some a stupid question but I am asking just to drive home a point.............definately not high in fact a good deal if you ask me.
To date I am also very proud to inform that majority of residents in TMP are all law abiding citizen of 1Malaysia and in TMP we also boast an incredible 92% collection rate with only 8% of unit owners defaulting.
To some this is a sensitive issue especially if they are the ones defaulting, but honestly to me it is clear as day since these defaulters are aware of the rules but so conveniently chose to ignore them and especially have the type of skin to default knowing that 92% of the community in TMP are paying for the facilities they are enjoying like the guards, cleaners, regular fogging, RA members time and effort to get new floodlights installed, resurfacing of the main road leading into TMP by MPSJ (YES!!! thats right the RA had a hand in getting that done through close communication with JKP Zone 9), organising activities for the community like Qi Gong (to date more than 30 members already), line dancing and many more to come.
The other group of people that I feel very strongly about are unit owners renting out their house but do not provide access cards to their tenants......this is ridiculous and the tenants should immediately act on this and insist from their landlords that they have to provide the access cards or some other arrangements. But of course landlords that wishes to default to save RM 100 a month will not have their access cards hence the tenant are the ones that will have to suffer so who is to blame here........LANDLORDS WHO DO NOT PAY THEIR FEES!
Like I had mentioned earlier Malaysians mindsets can be on the wierd side and against logic and common sense.
I AM ENDING THIS POST WITH A SINCERE AND FRIENDLY REMINDER THAT EVERY RESIDENTS IN TMP HAVE A CERTAIN MORAL AND SOCIAL OBLIGATION TO THE SAID COMMUNITY TO ENSURE THAT THE TMP COMMUNITY CONTINUES TO PROSPER AND THAT THE FUTURE GENERATIONS (YOUR KIDS) WILL ENJOY THE FRUITION OF YOUR ACTION/S.
JUST SPEND POSSIBLY 10 MINS OR MORE A DAY OR WEEKENDS TO CONTRIBUTE IN YOUR OWN WAY BY FIRSTLY KEEPING YOUR AREA CLEAN AND FREE FROM RUBBISH AND WATER TRAPS (ELIMINATE AEDES MOSQUITO), PICKING UP RUBBISH AT THE PARK IF YOU SEE ANY AND ADVICING DOG OWNERS TO CARRY PLASTIC BAGS AND TO PICK UP THEIR DOG'S POO IF THEY ARE NOT DOING SO, INFORM YOUR NEIGHBOURS NOT TO SIMPLY LET THEIR DOGS ROAM FREELY AS THIS MIGHT POSE A DANGER TO SMALL CHILDREN AND OTHER SMALLER DOGS PLUS THEY MIGHT GO AROUND POOING AT OTHER RESIDENT'S LAWN ETC WHICH IS NOT A VERY NICE THING TO EXPERIENCE AND DEFINITELY AVOIDABLE AND MANY OTHER THINGS YOU CAN DO WHICH I AM SURE YOU CAN POSSIBLY THINK OF SOME.
LAST BUT NOT LEAST YOU SHOULD COME FORWARD AND LEND THE RA A HELPING HAND TO ENSURE THAT THERE IS SUFFICIENT MANPOWER AND RESOURCES TO CONTINUE TO BUILD AND TO PRODUCE THE NEXT GENERATION OF REPRESENTATIVES THAT WILL LEAD THE COMMUNITY TO MORE AND BETTER ACHIEVEMENTS.

  1. Thanks for the efforts on giving us the update on TMP. Every time when our neighborhood organizing makan makan events (birthday, CNY, Raya etc), their visitors car simply park the car in front of my house (can't enter or go out) even they know someone is occupied the house, many incidents when I back from work, I have to horn for at least 5 min in order to get those stupid people to remove their car.

Can the management set a rule that for those who organizing this event, advise their visitor to park the car along the field road side and walk to the house, and get the guard be there to control the situation. Be a considerate neighbor and create less problem to everyone.

  2. Kudos for the TMP RA which puts in all the efforts to reduce the No. of defaulters. Bravo! This definately not an easy task.......
I can see more improvement to the security of TMP as changing of more effective guards and spotlight install along TMP Phase 3.
    Thanks :) :)
