Green Campaign Part 2 (24th August 2008)
We recently received another batch of fruit trees from MPSJ and hence the said tree planting exercise was organised to get these trees planted quickly before they wither and kaputttt.
RA committee members gathered on the 24th August 2008, 9.00 AM and started the exercise until noon 12.30 PM. The said tree planting exercise also included some landscaping activity where we also removed a casuarina tree that was on the verge of toppling and replaced it with a mango tree instead.
It was a great way to spend a Sunday morning and it was a fun exercise for all involved, cheers to all the volunteers and may all our efforts bear fruit in the near future :)

Put A Leash On Pet Owners Bad Habits
The article above was taken from the Strait Times dated 22nd August 2008 sepcifically pertaining dog owners needing a nudge to overcome some bad habits especially in regards to picking up their dog's poo (feaces) or simply put "SHIT".
I did write about this issue quite a while back and since such a great article was published which typifies and also in a nutshell describes the attitude of many pet/dog owners in regards to their civic responsibilities.
If you are guilty of not picking up your dog's "SHIT", it is not to late to start doing so and be a responsible resident wherever you may live. I believe it is just a slight tuning in one's head to understand that it is just not a "COOL" thing to do.
Do the "RIGHT" thing and set a good example for your children to follow pertaining this matter for a happy neighbourhood. Please PICK UP AFTER YOUR PET WHEN THEY HAVE DONE THEIR BUSINESS......all it takes is just a plastic bag or two before walking them out of your home and bagging the poo and putting it in the bin. How difficult can that be? Do it and feel the good you are doing to all that uses these common areas especially children.
Remember what goes around comes around.
Resident Email Feedback
Dear Michael
There is another animal that you need to highlight which is cats. There are a lot of them roaming the Taman now.
Some of the incidents that I have experienced are attacking the dustbin when it is accidently left unlock by garbage collector, having their meal at my porch and doing their daily business in my flower pots.
Dogs are noisy and is a nuisance but cats are flexible, agile and a pest if their owner don't keep them at home. Who is going to pick up their droppings in your house?
Regards
Henry

Pesta Tanglung Muhibbah II (13th Sept 2008)
Pesta Tanglung is here again and it is because we have such tremendous support in year 2007 it is inevitable that we received many suggestions by residents for the RA to organize the Pesta Tanglung Muhibbah once again, this time round will be part 2.
The difference is to enable efficiency and less time consumption for all working people in the RA committee member volunteers, the RA have decided to cater instead allowing all committee to be truly involved in the celebration with all the residents rather than having duties the whle entire night.
Tickets will be sold instead of potluck to allow better management of resources and fairer distribution and participation by all residents to make it truly muhibbah. Tickets/coupons will be sold to all interested residents to participate and this is to enable funding for the catering and expenses to be borne on the day like caterers, clowns, tents, chairs etc.
There will only be a total of 400 adult tickets and 200 children tickets sold as this particular Pesta Tanglung objective is to cater for 400 adults and 200 children. Please come and supprt and enjoy together such a festive occasion as residents/neighbours in this wonderful community in Taman Mutiara Puchong.
Please call the following resident to book and pay for your tickets in advance before they are all sold out, as 100++ tickets are already taken up by RA committee members and families.

Latest Development/Improvement In TMP
Banner reminding residents to use their prox cards to ease the burden of the guards before dual lane approval.
Speed hump in front of MBf Printing
Speed hump from LDP towards TMP
2 additional flood lights at T-junction next to IWK to brighten up the area at night
New Taman Mutiara Pucong road sign along service road in front of IWK
Above pictures illustrating all the positive development from the many request/proposal by RA TMP to MPSJ which were recently approved and acted upon with the end result of better lighting, signage and safety for all residents.
More improvements are expected and updates will be published accordingly for all to view. I for one cannot wait for the deliberation and execution of the construction of the second entry lane into TMP but realistically I do not expect this to be soon unless the developer takes immediate action to clarify matters with MPSJ pertaining the handover issue of the roads in TMP to them and at the same time exercise more corporate social responsibility to futher enhance the development in TMP especially for new house buyers in Phase 3B.
It will be a valauble image boost for the developer if they took it upon themselve to graciously finance the construction of the said 2nd entry lane into TMP, imagine the amount of goodwill that will bring. What is your feedback on this?
In the meantime kudos to the RA once again for making things happen and of course a very big thank you to MPSJ for acting so quickly into the request and proposal.
