Advice to Dog Owners
For advice on dog fouling issues, reporting stray and lost dogs and cats, or reporting offenders against the Order, please submit a complaint form at the RESIDENT SUPPORT AND COMMUNITY CENTRE in order for a proper flow of communication before any plan of action can be formulated. We have to communicate with the dog owners first and advice them accordingly pertaining the situation before other stronger measures are taken into consideration.

View advice or make a complaint at your own discretion to start enforcing responsibility of owning a pet.Within the taman the dog walker must scoop their dog's mess up from all designated land to which the public have access. Designated land includes:

Public circulation areas

To dispose of dog faeces:
Use the provided dog bins, or
Carefully place in any of our litter bins, providing the poop is bagged and tied!

Never allow your pet to foul anywhere where people walk and play.
Dogs must have an identity tag and must be kept on leads whilst on the highway. Strays are always impounded.

Please note: The Order does not apply to: heathland, woodland and common land providing, fouling of car parks, footways, formal area, picnic and play spaces is not allowed to occur. (An additional one-metre mess-free border applies to footpaths).

  1. Yo!! Dog Owners!!!

"WHO LET THE DOGS OUT!!! WOOF WOOF"

Totally agree that all dog owners who bring their dogs for a walk should scoop your dog's poop. It's a good habit. I am PROUD to say that that my owner (who is obviously writing on my behalf..coz if I do know how to type...geez...I'd be a making a million for my owher) scoops my poop whenever she takes me out.

Honestly, from a doggie's point of view, I totally hate it whenever I am onto some interesting smell, my owner has to drag me away from that spot just because she does not want me to accidentally step on your dogs' poop. BUMMER and YUCKS!!! It's such a killer joy and at the same time disgusting.

Imagine, if all you owners allow your pets to poop all over the park, we will not be able to enjoy our evening walks, what more at night when everything is dark... :(

It's not that difficult to carry a plastic bag in your pocket, and once your poochies have pooped, by golly, just use the plastic bag and pick it up. It does not take a gazillion of your time and energy to do that.

How would you like it if your dog steps on other dogs' poop??? Imagine the time and water and soap you have to use to clean our little paws. That takes more effort than picking up our poop and deposit it in the bin.

Also, please be considerate with the rest of our neighbours who till today have managed to avoid our poop-y traps. The park is not only for your dogs but its for everyone to enjoy. I would hate it if one day, dogs are not allowed on the park.

Neither my master nor I can comprehend the fact that you dog owners can scoop your poochy's poop at home but not outside. Utterly not civic minded at all. Treat the park as part of your home. It is obvious you can't train us dogs to hold the urge to poop right? Hey, when a dog gotta go, its gotta go kay!!! So make a little effort to help clean it up or otherwise totally train your dog to poop directly below the tree. At least the tree is away from everyone's walking path and it gets some baja...:)

...and may my owner add...for all dog owners, please do not let your dog out without any "parental suppervision" and without a leash. That is utter disregard for the safety of your pets and of others. Dogs, just like children must at all times be supervised by owners and must at all times be on leash.

I don't see why people at YTL Lake Edge can scoop thier dog's poop and people in Taman Mutiara Puchong can't. They are not at all different from us! The only difference is that they love their park as much as they love their home, and they are considerate pet owners. So I think, it's about time that we all change our mind set that "the park is not my home..so what" kind of thinking.

For those who have been to Paris....poop-y traps all over the city...beautiful city but none can walk without having to keep a look out for poop-y traps. No wonder people say that people in Paris are unfriendly. They don't notice you....They can't help it!! They are too busy looking out for poop-y traps!!! So... don't make our park into such. It's wonderful to have patrons of the park greeting one another rather than have to walk or jog and at the same time keep a look out for poops!!!

Well I hope with this message, it would help change all dog owners mind set and to start carrying out plastic bags while taking your dogs for a walk.

  2. Today 10 April, still seeing dog owners brought out their lovely dogs walking around in the evening, 1 cute little light colour beagle with his master at the central park and not surprisingly the beagle just poop there without any help of the master to clean it up. Later, saw another brown colour big dog with another black colour small small dogs also brought out by their master to poop in front of the new houses, aiyo....pleaselah, how can we survive with this environment?!
    Can RA do something?

  3. This is "Malaysia Boleh" dilemma and it will take education and constant reminders to these owners provided they take your advice. The RA cannot be expected to solve every single displeasure any resident may have but definitely will assist. As far as scooping the poop is concern more than 2 reminders have been posted and many times gentle reminders to dog owners in Central Park were given to those owners not carrying plactic bags with them when walking their dog. If you do see these owners like you did mention as you were there then kindly start giving these people the advice and reminders. Sometimes they just need to be confronted and reminded to know what is the proper protocol when walking their dog. Do your bit to communicate to these people like some residents i know that do feel the same way you do. Also a gentle reminder not to just mention a beagle or brown dog as we have many beagles in this taman as well as retrievers. We as responsible dog owners will have to "LEAD BY EXAMPLE" and as more of us start to practice this then more will follow.
