Robbery In Taman Maluri CHERAS........
RA TMP hopes that such incident will not happen in Taman Mutiara Puchong but the fact is, it might happen and will happen if preventive measures are not taken. Although this particular video clip is showing an actual robbery taking place in CHERAS, all of us in Taman Mutiara Puchong cannot take for granted the current state of security that all of us enjoy.........remember we have to protect the security environment in TMP and it is every single residents responsibility and definitely not just the RA to shoulder the burden alone, no way JOSE!!!
Please if you see your neighbours without the security tag kindly encourage them by sincerely educating them the importance of the RM 100.00 per month service fee contribution to the level of the security in TMP as well as for the very upkeep of the community in TMP.
We cannot rely on the police for our very own safety but remember safety always start from the HOME and the example we set within our family as well as within the community. REMEMBER what a police head once told me? The only people that do not care about security and safety are CRIMINALS AND CRAZY PEOPLE.......... I for one do not want to believe that 30% of the defaulters in TMP are either criminals or crazy but merely just not equating the significance in the action of PAYING RM 100.00 constitutes for TMP community and the impact it has on the perception of neighbours of residents whom do not have a security tag displayed on their gate.

Prevention Is The CURE!
This is the mantra we should all chant to maintain the highest state of alertness in avoiding a catastrophe, incident, accident and etc. All it takes is a little effort to ensure that a preventive measure has been put into place and this will help you avoid one of the negative factors which could affect your life (family members) and in some instances change it even.
Please do your part to ensure that the safety of your home and your family members comes first, as the world economy is ailing and more people lose their jobs and livelihood, many will turn into crime to make a living and to survive. With this said it is also time for us to be aware that such environment will lead to more crime and thus escalating crime rates throughout the country. This is already evident when you read the news in the papers, news on tv and even online.
Do your part by ensuring that the perimeter of your house is well lit after dark and that sensor lights at the back is turned on. Although we are living in a gated and guarded environment, preventive measures are still necessary as people who resort to criminal activities are those that have nothing to lose or desperate even.
Please recap by reading all the previous blog post pertaining security and safety and do your best to prevent and be the obstacle to any potential criminal act.
Remember only 2 types of people that are not concerned about safety and security:
1) people who are insane and
2) criminals
The above was mentioned to me in one of the security prevention seminar I attended.

Safety campaign launched in SS19/1
By THO XIN YI
JUST as SS19/1 Residents Association (RA) pro tem committee member Zulkifli Abdullah was taking over the microphone at the launch of the area’s safety campaign, the siren of a nearby police car blared.
More than 200 residents attending the ceremony, which was held at a playground, craned their necks to see what was happening while two patrol cars cornered two men on a motorcycle.
The uniformed police officers jumped out of their vehicles and caught the “snatch thieves” red-handed.
Well done: Yeoh (right) presenting a letter of appreciation and a RM100 shopping voucher to WPC Adibah Abdul Hamid (left), who was part of the team that captured two armed robbery suspects recently. Looking on is Ariffin.
After having read the said article above, all I can say is that aren't we all lucky in TMP. Especially when so much have been done for the sake of security and safety and with tremendous preventive foresight by the RA committee memmbers.
I sincerely hope to see more residents having a more thankful attitude towards the RA and sincerely appreciate the amount of effort put into safeguarding the community by improving it tremendously after the developer refuse to manage it and handed the said responsibility to the RA (2 weeks shy of the handover period) approximately 1 year ago.
Remember folks, the RA consists of residents volunteering to serve the community but in actual fact the responsibility lies with all the residents in any one community to equally be socially responsible.
Let us not take things for granted but to appreciate and also make time to be a part of a community that continues to be proactive and with initiative to carry out activities and enhancement for the betterment of all.
