Registering RAs not that difficult a task

IN recent years, many residents associations (RA) have been formed as more people realise the need for a unified body to represent the community and decide on issues pertaining to the neighbourhood.
However, some of these RAs are still only pro tem committees as they have either not realised the importance of getting registered or simply do not know the right procedures. There are even cases of two or more RAs situated just a few streets apart in the same neighbourhood.
With the increasing number of RAs hiring security guards, it is also important for RAs to have their accounts audited so that they can provide proof that the money collected from residents is spent in the right manner.
In 1994, it took USJ RA founder Joseph Xavier four months of paper work and travelling to and from the office of the Registrar of Societies (ROS) to have the RA registered.

MPSJ orders developer to rectify problem at Taman Mutiara Puchong

CHANNELLING the rain water into the lake is not the proper way to resolve the soil erosion problem at bank of the lake near Taman Mutiara Puchong, according to Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) engineering department deputy director Adnan Derahman.
“There should be no outlet discharging water into the lake. It is an offence under the law and it will also further induce the soil erosion problem,” he said.
Adnan said this during a meeting of the MPSJ with residents of Taman Mutiara Puchong and nearby housing estates and the developers of the housing projects around the lake.

MPSJ deputy president Mohamad Yusoff Ghazali chaired the meeting held at the MPSJ complex in Subang Jaya on Wednesday.
The soil erosion problem was first highlighted in StarMetro in July last year.
The developer’s company was featured in another news report on Jan 6 this year that the problem was caused by rain water flowing from the landscaped area into the lake.
The company has proposed to collect the water into a sump and then channel the water through pipes directly into the pond.
The residents have confirmed that the company has installed the pipes but they want the council to come out with a permanent solution to the problem.
In response, Adnan instructed the company to cover up the drains at the landscaped area.
“The level of the land should be raised so that the water will flow in an opposite direction, instead of flowing into the lake and worsen the soil erosion problem,” he said.
The residents, however, expressed concern that flooding would occur should the water flow into the residential area.
“Due to clogged drains, flood happens during downpours and the water covers up the roads and back lanes,” resident Michael Yeoh said.
Yeoh is the Taman Mutiara Puchong residents’ association assistant secretary and JKP Zone 9 vice-chairman.
Adnan then told the company to clean up the drainage system, giving it three days to submit its work programme to the MPSJ and a further 14 days to rectify the soil erosion problem. During the meeting, it was also revealed that the third phase of the housing project in Taman Mutiara Puchong has yet to be handed over to the MPSJ.
Adnan said the MPSJ would study and evaluate the clogged drains and soil erosion problems before receiving the project from the developer.
“We will conduct checks on the project based on the residents’ complaints,” he said.

Erosion at Puchong pond getting worse

Worse than before: The erosion has almost reached the chain link fence around the pond.
THE soil erosion at the lake edge near Taman Mutiara Puchong has become worse and the residents want action taken immediately.
The problem was highlighted in StarMetro on July 17 last year but nothing has been done to tackle the problem.
“Now, after six months of consistent downpour, the soil has eroded further into the lake. Large crevasses have appeared up to the perimeter fencing,” resident Gerard Lim said.
He is worried that the problem may worsen in the coming months.
“The residents hope that the developer and the Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) can respond positively with a permanent measure to rectify the problem and not wait for a bigger problem to happen,” he said.
The developer, when contacted in November, said the land at the side of the pond does not belong to them.
“The chain link fence represents the demarcation line between Mutiara Puchong and the other people’s land.
“We have surrendered the lake edge area (which was landscaped earlier) to the local council. Hence, it does not belong to us and neither does the pond.
“Since the land belongs to another party, technically, we cannot be held responsible for erosion control on their land,” it said in a statement.
However, the developer was keen to address the problem by constructing a couple of sumps at the affected area.
“Whenever it rains, the water will find a natural course to flow. In this particular case, the rain happened to flow from the landscaped area into the pond. Over time, this had created the erosion of the lake edge.
“We can collect the water into a sump and then channel the water through pipes directly into the pond. This will prevent the rainwater from causing further scouring of the slopes of the pond,” the developer’s statement said.
MPSJ councillor Chang Kim Loong told StarMetro recently that he was aware of the issue.
“I have submitted an official letter to the council to highlight the erosion problem, as well as the incident two months ago where fish in the lake died suddenly.
“Some said the fish died because of discharge from a nearby factory, while some said it was due to the change in the water temperature.
“The MPSJ will carry out investigation on these matters.
“I will drop by the MPSJ today to see what can be done to solve these problems,” he said.

Thank you once again for highlighting the issue of soil erosion at the lake edge of Taman Mutiara Puchong in StarMetro on Tuesday 6th January 2009.
It is nonsensical for the developer Malton to claim that the land at the edge of the pond does not belong to them when the developer themselves had dumped many truck loads of earth into the lake to prevent further structural cracking of the corner houses / units which till today left several unsold! I have photo evidence showing the original land area when we moved into our home in 2007 and the present extended land area of 50'ft further into the lake.
By the developer simply putting up the chain link perimeter fencing is not suffice to say that it is the demarcation line between Mutiara Puchong and the land of others! Strangely indeed, how does a developer surrender only the lake edge to the local council MPSJ when the entire Taman Mutiara Puchong has yet to be surrendered to the local council? Yet, residents of Taman Mutiara Puchong have for the past two years been paying the local council MPSJ "Cukai Taksiran"..Assessment Tax.
Obviously, the developer is "washing their hands" of this matter by pushing the responsibility to the local council MPSJ. I sincerely hope that the local council MPSJ would be quick-witted in handling this matter and not be coerced into accepting otherwise.

Thanks for highlighting the issue in the media in your StarMetro 6.1.09 issue titled ' Erosion at Puchong pond getting worse'.
The impending issues were deliberated in the Jawatankuasa One Stop Centre (OSC) MPSJ this (8.1.09) afternoon.
The Director of Enginering Dpt. En Adnan Derahman has yesterday (7.1.09) visited the site and is finalising his report to the committee.
The Director of OSC, En Norjafni has forthwith been directed to initiate a meeting to be chaired by Timbalan YDP inviting all the related developers; namely Malton, YTL, Glomac and Interpile as well as all the neighbouring RAs namely, Persatuan Penduduk Tmn Mutiara Puchong, protem committee Lake Edge and Lakeview to attend the discussion and to sort out the imminent problems in no uncertain terms.
As soon as a date and time is fixed, all are invited to attend and be heard. I shall notify you in due course and shall be at the meeting with Cr Ng Sze Han.

Dear Cr Chang & Xin Yi,
Thank you for highlighting and bring up the soil erosion issue to the press and the relevant authorities to act before a catastrophe occurs; otherwise the Developer would be very famous for the wrong reason, and the owners of the affected houses (should the houses collapse into the eroded lake edge) would have their properties "gone with the water" and the whole Taman house value "gone down the drain".
From a layman's view, the cause was that there was no sheet piling done at the lake edge. The last soil collapse reached the last corner house whose entire garden and fence disappeared, which prompted the Developer's immediate action to re-fill hundreds of lorry loads of soil to maintain the lake edge to its present distance from the lake, as confirmed by Gerard's statement.
Rain water supposedly flows into drain holes at road curbs drags with them sand and mud, clogging the holes. Heavy downpour has been causing flood in this stretch next to the lake caused by the clogged holes. Flood water over flows to the lake edge and that's how the soil has been eroded so fast. The Residents' Association has proposed to the Developer rep to install pipes connecting rain water at the curb edge directly into the lake, but was turned a deaf ear probably due to cost factor and the common "contractually not obligated" statement. Instead, the Developer has dug a trench within and along the perimeter fencing and channel the collected rain water out to the same eroded spot, which is not a solution. In fact it would accelerate the soil erosion even faster.
Mutiara Puchong experienced not less than 6 times serious flooding. One of the causes was most of the sumps in front of each adjoining house was clogged by sand which impeded water flow to the monsoon drain just outside the entrance of the Taman. Rain water has to flow into holes at the road curb through underground drains to the bigger drain at the north near the TNB high tension area. This is an ex-tin-mine land and the amount of sand being flushed into the holes is massive. MPSJ has to maintain a routine schedule to clear the sump to avoid flooding recurrence.
Taman Mutiara Puchong RA look forward to the meeting with MPSJ, the 3 Developers and RA Committees, and we will bring along photos to support our findings and hope to find a solution to the erosion problem before a calamity happens.

GOTONG ROYONG PERDANA MPSJ - JKP ZONE 9 (13TH DEC'08 - 8.00 AM)
Dear Residents in Taman Mutiara Puchong,
JKP Zone 9 would like to invite us to participate in the gotong-royong to rid the area of all the illegal banners, buntings and signages which can be found almost everywhere in the area. Usually they are pasted all over and has become an epidemic in almost every township in Selangor.
The culprits are usually money lending organizations and they have single handedly made all our taman ugly with their illegal activities of vandalism. This gotong royong is sanctioned by MPSJ, hence do come out in numbers to show force and concern for the very area we live in. This gotong-royong will only mean something if residents themselves come out to participate and be proactive to counter such social ill as vandalism and disregard for public property.
MPSJ will provide ladders for the event and all you need to bring is a wire cutter/scissors for the task. All volunteers are to meet at the Balai Masyarakat MPSJ Zon 9 located in Jalan Sri Puchong 7, Taman Sri Puchong, Puchong, Selangor @ 8.00 AM sharp this coming Saturday,13th December 2008. Check the map below for direction.

Fogging Exercise In TMP 6.11.2008
Recently in TMP the fogging exercise was completed to keep the mosquito population at bay temporarily as one of the many measures to maintain the healthy living concept in TMP, do take note that the fogging exercise was initiated and paid for by the RA through the collection of the monthly service fees.
Hence to all contributors, this is only but one of the many costs involved in maintaining TMP. I can also predict not in the distant future that we are required to also do some maintenance work on the perimeter wall fencing i.e. painting the grille and wall itself plus other repairs.
Another recently approved initiative is to have 7 road humps erected in designated areas after careful surveys done of the entire TMP area. This is to discourage the many drivers in TMP whom allegedly speeding very dangerously without any concern that they may one day knock into a child crossing the road to the park or maybe cycling along the roads in TMP.
The RA has opted to go ahead and be proactive in getting things done as MPSJ reply to the RA that they were unable to erect the road humps due to the fact that the said roads handover are yet to be completed (mind you this has been the same reason more than a year ago when the RA first applied to have these road hunps erected for the safety and well being of the residents).
Imagine the duration of time it takes to get things done or for the authority to compel the developer to act in a social responsible manner? Imagine if an accident was to happen in TMP, then what will the reaction be? You tell me?
Imagine if the RA was not formed then what will happen, if the well being was left to the authority and the developer? Hmmmmmmm.............. from all the ding dong they are involved in until today probably status quo.
The next project the RA will like to embark on as planned will be to construct the second entry lane, this is more complicated and the RA is currently pushing hard to get the approval from MPSJ. We have not heard any reply yet from MPSJ as this particular issue requires the regazetting of the said area to be used to carry out the said proposed dual entry lane. Very complicating but the ball is rolling and currently on the MPSJ side of it. The RA is prepared to fork out the amount for the said construction as this is for the benfit of all the residents in TMP but alas still the same old dilemma of waiting for a favourable reply (this proposal was submitted more than a year ago as well).

I have decided to post this particular reply as the lake does belong to all of us and we should partake in the responsibility of letting the local authority with the appropriate jurisdiction to do something about it, and in this case this jurisdiction was clearly MPSJs.
To date I have submitted more than 35 complaints some repetitive but mostly to the nature of ensuring that TMP and the surrounding neighbourhood is in constant supervision of any abnormalities like for instances illegal signages pasted all over, illegal dumping, stray dogs, insufficient lighting, road humps, signage to show where Mutiara Puchong is located, additional litter bins in the park and others.
Now I find it very strange in this internet day and age that very few residents are actually using the MPSJs complaint portal to submit relevant complaints accordingly.....I did highlight this point in my previous post and with instructions to submit such complaints but I reckon that many residents are still sticking to their belief that such responsibilities lay elsewhere or simply could not bother one bit but to complain and leave it as that.
I am saying so because through personal experience I have encountered many whom have basically just complained and thats, thats. For once it will be truly a breath of fresh air if more residents or responsible human being could make the effort to possibly attempt to do something selflessly for the sake of many or possibly do somthing within their realm to be a problem solver than the problem announcer.
I am a resident in TMP and I take it upon myself to submit the complaints for the betterment of the people around me, firstly my family and of course the rest of the people in this taman. What cheeses me off is the fact that many "people" do not have a slightest clue that such civic duties is expected from each and every individual in any community.
Pardon my french here but I think it is high time that more people actually start giving a damn about the environment they are living in and the importance of righting a wrong. Make a difference by giving a damn for once and possibly you can feel good in the process, more action and less talk will be most encouraged and you will see that when you start empowering yourself to find solutions rather than complaining about a problem then you will truly admire and be thankful that you have been born without abnormalities and that you do indeed have a truly functional brain to think from.

Above pictures illustrating all the positive development from the many request/proposal by RA TMP to MPSJ which were recently approved and acted upon with the end result of better lighting, signage and safety for all residents.
More improvements are expected and updates will be published accordingly for all to view. I for one cannot wait for the deliberation and execution of the construction of the second entry lane into TMP but realistically I do not expect this to be soon unless the developer takes immediate action to clarify matters with MPSJ pertaining the handover issue of the roads in TMP to them and at the same time exercise more corporate social responsibility to futher enhance the development in TMP especially for new house buyers in Phase 3B.
It will be a valauble image boost for the developer if they took it upon themselve to graciously finance the construction of the said 2nd entry lane into TMP, imagine the amount of goodwill that will bring. What is your feedback on this?
In the meantime kudos to the RA once again for making things happen and of course a very big thank you to MPSJ for acting so quickly into the request and proposal.

Lake now the pride of Puchong folk

IT WAS once an eyesore but the lake near Taman Mutiara Puchong has now become a landmark that the residents can be proud of. A year ago, StarMetro highlighted the sorry state of the lake, which was polluted by construction debris and rubbish.
Fish in the lake died and the stench reached the residential areas nearby, making the residents both worried and angry.
Tranquil: A resident enjoying the scenic sight at the lake.
“We bought the houses because we believed that there will be a beautiful lake in the area, as illustrated in the brochures,” said resident Gerard Lim, who brought up the matter last year.
The Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) had taken action against the developers for illegal dumping and the fine was used to clean up the lake.
The developer of Taman Mutiara Puchong has also landscaped the edge of the lake with perimeter fencing, benches, shrubs, lawns and a proper walkway of about 300m.
There is also a platform for the residents to view the scenery.
Lim said the residents were pleased with the current state of the lake.
“On a sunny day, the sunset here is very beautiful,” he said, gesturing at the shimmer of sunlight on the lake.
Neat: The lake has 300m-long walkway with benches and plants lining the sides.
During StarMetro's visit to the lake recently, birds could also be seen gliding on the water surface in search of fish.
However, Lim pointed out that soil had eroded at certain spots of the lake's edge.
“Land reclamation was done previously on the lake, but the foundation was clearly not strong enough,” he said.
The residents association is hoping that MPSJ could put rocks or plant suitable trees along the lake to hold the soil together to prevent further erosion.
In need of attention: Soil erosion at certain parts of the lake edge at Taman Mutiara Puchong.
“The area is dark at night so we hope streetlights can be installed, too,” Lim said.
He added that there were still some irresponsible contractors who would climb over the barrier to throw debris into the lake.
“The residents association has to be alert to prevent these cases from happening,” he said.
MPSJ president Datuk Adnan Md Ikshan said the council would first determine whether the said problems should be tackled by the developer. “If not, we will look into the matter,” he said.

Residents take initiative to plant trees

RESIDENTS in Taman Mutiara Puchong (TMP) took the initiative to plant trees in their neighbourhood to help in the government's greening effort after each family were urged to adopt a tree and grow them in their front yards and other suitable locations in their residential areas.
The go-green campaign, a joint effort between TMP and the Subang Jaya Muncipal Council (MPSJ) was launched by state senior executive councillor for Industry, Investment and Trade Teresa Kok and MPSJ president Datuk Adnan Md Ikhsan.
“For sustainable development, everyone should do their part to keep the earth green. It does not matter what species of trees or plants as long as we make an effort to keep our area green,'' said Teresa.
“As parents we have a responsibility to teach our children to respect the environment, as it is not an easy task to explain the concept of global warming to young children if there are no trees.
“How are our children to know the importance of trees if they are not taught at an early age,'' she said.
Meanwhile, Adnan said MPSJ was all for the campaign and that community leaders could work with the council in the greening effort.
Since the TMP is fairly a new residential area, there were not many families which took part in the campaign but all those who were present made some concerted effort to adopt a tree.

Trouble Makers In TMP
Above are the documents distributed by a non-resident owner whom have been very active in opposing the RA for no apparent reason (actually the individual wants the service fee to be RM 50 as stipulated in the DMC prior to handover). But since the AGM and majority vote when more than 200+ residents attended the said service fee was increased to RM 100 by majority vote as noted in the minutes of the AGM available for download in this blog since March 2008.
Latest ploy to garner support is by wrongfully distributing the above letter from MPSJ to Interpile merely seeking information as required as protocol in response to any aduan (complaint)made, in this case by a Yap Li Li of No.78, Jalan TMP 6 (Vacant house with for sale/rent signage).
This document is not for public distribution and especially not for distribution by the complainant to all residents in TMP and without consent from the management office. On top of that hanphone numbers were provided in MPSJ document to call for inquiry and from feedback many malicious and defamatory information was given out with the aim of distorting facts. It is clear that TMP is a non strata title development but instead an individual title development, therefore the fact is as mentioned in Interpile Sdn Bhd reply to MPSJ below:
Clearly JMB (Joint Management Body)is not required and my question is why go to so much trouble to stir up emotions causing residents anxiety for no apparent benefit to anyone except themselves? Take note these are residents whom consist of defaulters hence not observing the law as stipulated in the DMC. I for one dislike this kind of behaviour and very detrimental to the peace and harmony, worst of all the instigator here is a non-residents owner, meaning owns a unit but has never lived in it from the very beginning.
Whereas the RA consist of residents living and knows what is happening and knows what is needed to make TMP a better place which is sufficient funding from collection which can manage and sustain TMP properly for the long term. Common sense and realistic expectation will make sense of everything as I do not want to waste time again writing about stuff I had written months ago.
Attached below you will note that a police report has been made for the sole purpose of preventing any further malicious and wrongful acts by certain individual to disrupt the peace and harmony in Taman Mutiara Puchong and by misleading and distorting facts without justifiable cause and misusing local givernment council letter head to drum support for a cause that in itself misguided.
I leave it to all reasonably sane residents in Taman Mutiara Puchong to understand that the RA adhere strictly to the laws stipulated in the DMC and act in accordance with the law governing RA by ROS. Lastly judge by the actions of all dedicated volunteers in TMP and not by a handful of defaulters whom have sinned in their capacity as residents/owners by blatantly ignoring majority mandate to pay RM 100 and thinks they are above the law.

Flooding In TMP 6 between Phase 1 and 3

Pictures taken 2nd June 2008 (Monday 3.00 PM - 4.00 PM) Above pictures showing the junction road between TMP 6 Phase 1 and Phase 3 flooding with water rising approximately up to 4 inches and at some places especially the backlane of TMP higher due to uneven gradient. Such flooding is common and I believe in this blog we have posted pictures and videoclips of previous floods during Raya October'07 and a couple other occasions. The RA have submitted many complaints before previously to the then adun of Kinrara Dr.Kow Cheong Wei and also to MPSJ. The developer has also been informed of this on numerous occasions. Though the flood water receeded quickly this time around it is still not acceptable that the said water level can still rise and that the drain sump can still backflow and be filled to the brim during heavy downpour. This is unusual amd abnormal to say the least. To all residents please forward your complaints individually as I believe residents in Phase 3A are also concerned and it is to my knowledge that the road right in front of the guardhouse will also be flooded during heavy downpour, unfortunately I do not have photos (need someone to send to me) to show of these other places affected by flooding within the same TMP compound. Please forward your complaints via online to MPSJ in their online complaint portal called "RESPONZ". Please sign in as a member and state clearly your complaints providing nature of complaints and location of the said complaint. Clearly provide your contact details for MPSJ to verify. If you are able to provide photograph evidence and post online and link in to your complaint then it will be better, only if you can do so.

Kudos to MPSJ for installing the said floodlights requested quite some time ago. The wait though long overdue is timely as this will facilitate the many events that has already started especially activities like Zhineng Qi Gong where there are more than 30 residents participating. Park activities can now extend beyond 7.30 PM and this is to the benefit of all residents in TMP.
Three cheers to MPSJ and the environment and maintenance sub committee of the RA :)

Ilegal Dumping In TNB TOL Area

I am using the word "illegal" here primarily because as far as I am concerned this area is not a gazetted dumping site. As you can see from this single picture I had taken and posted just to highlight this growing concern, backdrop of the picture you will be able to see clearly the houses of Taman Mutiara Puchong.
This is to indicate the location of the road where you can see garbage and waste materials strewn all along the road side tucked away behind the trees lining this road. I have already submitted a complaint to MPSJ using the online complaint portal through Responz located in MPSJ Homepage

Also to note in the pictures you will also be able to notice that the "longkang" wall has already crumbled and bricks and mortar strewn all over as well, showing proof of heavy vehicle activity in this specific area. This concern have been forwarded as well, and I am looking forward to a positive reply from MPSJ enforcement division handling the above category of complaints accordingly.
If you have any complaints please exercise your rights as a resident by forwarding a complaint through MPSJ online portal. Let us help them help us by forwarding relevant and pertinent complaints in numbers to justify action to be taken immeidately.

I am very happy to inform that today on the 5th June 2008, MPSJ have already sent their taskforce to clear up the rubbish mentioned in this post (within a week) action was taken.

Cheers To All Caring and Responsible Press Journalists
My apology for not posting any new materials recently, just needed some time out after so much time has been invested in trying to get so many issues related to the well being of all residents in Taman Mutiara Puchong sorted out with the developer as well as the local council.
Imagine having these things to deal with and at the same time having your usual committments of work, it has been extremely tiring of late and the break was definitely needed by all members of the RA.
The RA of Taman Mutiara Puchong sincerely would like to thank all the press journalists for their commendable coverage of issues brought to their attention recently which reflected unbias news reporting. Kudos also goes to TV3 reporters and crew for their informative as well as unbias reporting of the issues in regards to our plight in Taman Mutiara Puchong. No names need to be mentioned here as a good job done is best kept in your heart and with a smile across your face. Cheers to all of you guys/gals!!! :)
Since all the reports in the media there has been noticeably more activities in Taman Mutiara Puchong, like more regular maintenance and cleaning of the common areas, shrubs and lalang at various places have been cleared etc. The developer has acted on various complaints such as to rectify the ponding issues of the park and the basketball court, the drainage gradient and more aggressive landfilling at Phase 3. Though some action is better than none, progress is still painstakingly slow and only after affirmative action.
The RA would like to also see immediately action to quickly rectify the faulty boomgate which has been out of order for the last 3 weeks and counting. No spare parts??? Ideally the whole entire system needs to be replaced........ wonder the developer would do so rather than the residents now having a totally open entry to all at this point in time, for the last 3 weeks. Because of this the security guards are now slowly but surely reverting back to their lackdaiscal attitude and now cases of reported stolen items by foreign workers is creeping up again. With the latest incident of under garments stolen from a house in Phase 3 TMP 8C.
This is why the residents in Taman Mutiara Puchong is not happy and will not be happy until the developer (Malton Bhd) understands the reason why? Solving problems is not by merely looking for quick fixes and short cuts as well as cheapest alternative but looking at the root of the problem, the crux of it all and tying everything together. An obvious example will be the boomgate, why such a high occurence of system failure? Why the problem of the boomgate always being knocked by vehicles and causing the pole of the boomgate to be damaged? Please get this sorted out by replacing the entire boomgate system with a new and more trustworthy system and properly positioning the sensors as well as narrowing the lanes to a proper width to allow the boomgate system to operate at the optimum level. How many poles and spare parts do you want to continue to look for? How many poles do you want to replace? How many cars do you want to damage? How many more excuses do you want to come up with? How many more years do you need to realize?
Please do us the residents as well as yourself a favor, replace the whole damn boomgate system and properly rectify the issue once and for all, no more delays. Do the right thing for once without us the residents having to resort to extreme measures for something to be done which in the first place is duty bound by "YOU" the developer.
Other issues outstanding of highest priority is the Perimeter Wall Fencing - height and structure. This is a biggie and the RA will not rest until Malton Bhd improves the feature by adding more height as well as enhancing the said structure with barb wire at the base and adding additional metal/iron grill with pointed arrows outwards to definitely prevent scaling or climbing.

Press Gathering After Dead Fish In Lake Incident
Above are pictures taken during the press gathering 24 hours after informing Gerakan representative about the incident, the thousands of dead fishes in the lake and illegal dumping. The RA is glad that there are people with civic minded attitude to assist in such situation. The RA would like to take this opportunity to thank YB Lau and YDP Anan for reacting to the matter highlighted. It is still unfortunate that thousands of talapias fishes had to die for the issue to be taken notice of, which I sincerely believe could have been prevented with better enforcements.
As of today the lake is in much better shape with most of of the floating debris cleared by MPSJ and fish carcasses sinking into the depth of the lake, no sight of trucks dumping into the said lake as well which is definitely a sign of relief finally after months of waiting patiently. Just a word of gratitude to the authorities for righting the situation at the end of the day, cheers to all for a great start and a great job done. The RA would like see a continuance in such endeavor to futher enhance the cleanliness and standard of living in Puchong.

Failure In Proper Planning Or Do You Think It Is A Cost Cutting Measure?
Dear Fellow Residents,
Ladies and gentleman members of the public, rakyat of Malaysia, friends, Datuk's, Tan Sri's, VIP's and VVIP's in Malaysia I have a favor to ask...merely your kind feedback based on your experiences throughout your life until this very day.
The feedback I seek is merely to understand and ascertain the logic behind the actual design of the said perimeter wall fencing surrounding Taman Mutiara Puchong, as I believe though we are the very 1st "Gated and Guarded" housing development in Puchong, I also believe we have the weakest security amenities and features. The feedback I am hoping to receive to shed some light purely for discussion sake evolves around these couple of questions:-
Q1. At the time of the said drafting of the design and eventually to the submission of the said design of the perimeter wall fencing, person/s whom approved the said design could have actually looked into the said design more thoroughly before approving? Whether the said design enhances security, and safety by being able to effectively deter intruders since Taman Mutiara Puchong is after all a gated and guarded housing development? How come the developer did not use other gated and guarded housing development as a model or example as there were many available in Selangor state?
Q2. Since there is a total of 504 houses built in TMP, how come it did not occur to the developer that there should be a dual lane entry to properly cater for the traffic volume for 504 households not including visitors, delivery personnel, buses, vans, lorries, contractors etc. ?
Q3. Why did the developer erect the said guardhouse at the entrance without properly taking into consideration traffic flow of the roads in the said area especially when the said roads are windy and linking to a light industrial area with heavy transport vehicles frequenting the roads? How come the local council approved the said guardhouse without properly conducting a thorough inspection of the said location? Without taking consideration of traffic flows? Without visitor parking bays?
WHY?WHY?WHY?504 houses X RM 380,000 - 600,000 = RM 200,000,000 Approximately
What kind of quality did we get? Is it fair? Jusitifiable? Should we just stay quiet? Who is going to help us?
