Dead Fish Westlake 6th Sept'08 - Reply MPSJ
I have decided to post this particular reply as the lake does belong to all of us and we should partake in the responsibility of letting the local authority with the appropriate jurisdiction to do something about it, and in this case this jurisdiction was clearly MPSJs.
To date I have submitted more than 35 complaints some repetitive but mostly to the nature of ensuring that TMP and the surrounding neighbourhood is in constant supervision of any abnormalities like for instances illegal signages pasted all over, illegal dumping, stray dogs, insufficient lighting, road humps, signage to show where Mutiara Puchong is located, additional litter bins in the park and others.
Now I find it very strange in this internet day and age that very few residents are actually using the MPSJs complaint portal to submit relevant complaints accordingly.....I did highlight this point in my previous post and with instructions to submit such complaints but I reckon that many residents are still sticking to their belief that such responsibilities lay elsewhere or simply could not bother one bit but to complain and leave it as that.
I am saying so because through personal experience I have encountered many whom have basically just complained and thats, thats. For once it will be truly a breath of fresh air if more residents or responsible human being could make the effort to possibly attempt to do something selflessly for the sake of many or possibly do somthing within their realm to be a problem solver than the problem announcer.
I am a resident in TMP and I take it upon myself to submit the complaints for the betterment of the people around me, firstly my family and of course the rest of the people in this taman. What cheeses me off is the fact that many "people" do not have a slightest clue that such civic duties is expected from each and every individual in any community.
Pardon my french here but I think it is high time that more people actually start giving a damn about the environment they are living in and the importance of righting a wrong. Make a difference by giving a damn for once and possibly you can feel good in the process, more action and less talk will be most encouraged and you will see that when you start empowering yourself to find solutions rather than complaining about a problem then you will truly admire and be thankful that you have been born without abnormalities and that you do indeed have a truly functional brain to think from.

this few days i had post some comment to MPSJ about those wild dogs which gather at our taman. Today morning, luckily i am in the car, group of dogs is chase after me. Hope more residents can complain about the wild dogs issue
ReplyDeleteI am happy to know I am not the only one in this taman that is actually concerned when it comes to dealing wwith issues that concerns us all. To date I have submitted 3 separate "aduan" on the stray dog issue and to date MPSJ officer in the dog catching unit have only been remotely successful as the method deployed in cathing these strays are ineffective. They have acted on all the aduan everytime but each time they came they only manage to catch probably at most 2 dogs and sometime none like the previous response I received.
ReplyDeleteI have also submitted a suggestion/cadangan to them requesting for the dog catching unit to deploy alternative methods like maybe baiting and to come after dark instead in the afternoon. These strays easily numbering more than 12 in the pack can now be seen frequenting along the road facing Sri Makhota restaurant.
I do not condone poisoning nor euthanasia but looking at the rate the strays are reproducing MPSJs enforcemnet unit must look at effective methods immediately before it truly becomes a menace across many areas or neighbourhoods.
I encourage more residents or blog readers to comment on this issue and possibly offer alternative methods to effectively yet humanely nip this problem in the bud.
In the meantime as residents in this area please do your part by bagging your rubbish properly and ensuring that they are in the bin and with the lid closed and not exposed or in open area like just outside your house tempting and encouraging these strays to come in and to make a mess. Cheers.
To nip the problem in the bud is to curtail the entry points of these stray dogs. I have chased the stray dogs together with dog catching enforcers and found them easily jumped over our fence next to the high tension areas. A survey would confirm that the fencing along the high tension areas and adjacent to TMP8 are the entry points. What we need to do is to put up wire mesh (iron or plastic) against existing fencing to prevent these strays from entering our compound. As the fencing is easily 500 ft long, it may not be cheap. Any good Samaritans who would like to sponsor or co-share the cost would be really helpful to resolve this menace once and for all.

having read the MPSJ reply...what does it actually mean???
ReplyDeleteBasically the reply meant that they will look into the matter and have even taken water sample to test.
ReplyDeleteWe will have to wait for the result and then see what else MPSJ have in store to protect the environment of the lake from such incident.
anybody feel there are more and more burung gagak ( black birds) in out taman here?
