Residents in TMP have been putting up with the strong ammonia smell eminating from this "loji air" for quite a while now, if it serves me correctly this condition have been around and still is since the very first day I moved in which by the way has been more than a year already.
The RA have brought this matter up during the "Mesra Rakyat" forum (29th July 2007) with the relevant state authorities and which in this case would be Indah Water Konsortium (IWK).
The response from IWK representative, Encik Mohd Rashid bin Aziz was that IWK is aware of the said problem and currently most of the bio-filter "loji air" have been scheduled for upgrading to a better system. I can only recall he mentioned the said problem is being looked into and the said exercise will be completed soon. He did not elaborate on the "soon" part.
The RA advises all residents whom are concerned about the smell to kindly call IWK @ 03-5880 7828 and highlight this issue to them eventhough they already know about it. Sometimes we need to remind them that the issue at hand is serious and no one in this neighbourhood likes driving through an invisible cloud of ammonia stench everytime we pass through the "loji air PTG 116".
I have already submitted a complaint via online through their website under "feedback" and I encourage all other residents to do the same as well. Like the saying goes "the more, the merrier" and in this case the louder will be our voices.
